We highlighted eight vintage houses built between 1892-1934. Returning to an era of solid craftsmanship, beauty, and style, these older homes thoughtfully integrated necessary updates while still embracing the scale and period of their construction periods.
Every three years, BHS holds a self-guided tour of several vintage Ballard homes. Our homeowners really showed off their homes, and we thank them for making their hard work and efforts. Thanks also to the following retailers for selling tickets: Ballard Public Green Market, Secret Garden Bookshop, Scandinavian Specialties.
Are you interested in volunteering for the next tour? Please contact our Classic Home Tour Coordinator, Lesli Cook at 206-992-7010.
The Tour enables BHS to take part in community projects, present free informative lectures related to Ballard’s History, and maintain extensive archives.
The Ballard Historical Society was formed in 1988 and is dedicated to the celebration and preservation of the unique history and culture of Ballard, Washington. The society is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that provides community and educational programs and maintains an extensive photo archive.
